About Dr Lara Tarocco

My background
I was born in Milan, Italy. In 2004, I moved to the UK.
For thirteen years, I worked as a commercial lawyer in Windsor.

My family
During this time, I met the man who became my second husband. We tried for many years to have a baby, including fertility treatment. This was very hard. In the end, we accepted that we could not have a biological child and decided to adopt. Best choice of my life!

From law to therapy

I am an adoptive mother. My child experienced abuse and neglect early in life. Through this, I learnt how important emotional support is for people affected by trauma.

This led me to train as a counsellor and psychotherapist. I now work in Surrey and nationwide, supporting:

  • People presenting withy trauma, stress, anxiety, PTSD, loss and grief and more.
  • People with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

Thank you for visiting my website. Here you can find out how I can help.
